![]() ![]() Hard disk drive failures or corruptions are not uncommon. The hard disk drive on a computer should be viewed as a consumable. ![]() In addition to Yuri’s advise on doing regular and incremental backups, ensure your backups are also to removable media. Trust me, you won't regret it if it helps you to avoid having to do a manual rebuild.ġ. I would suggest doing a route back up every time you do a major build, or at least every other day that you work on it. Once the database has been rebuilt, back the route up to a seperate directory, and then continue building. you'll have to put these in again, but I'd suggest that if you did, you wait until the route is almost finished to do these. Hopefully you haven't put any interactives, such as fuel points, signals, car spawners or level crossings in yet. Whatever you do, save often, and make sure you don't have an object selected when you do a save. All you need to do is manually select each piece of track and road to rebuild the database. When you go to open the route now, it will be as if you haven't laid any track. Then this will basically delete the track database. Don't delete them entirely, just in case, but move them out of your route folder. You need to delete the files that end in. There is a way of doing it, but I'll be the first to admit, it's tiresome. ![]()
